Beggars hooks up with Kerchoonz

11:18 | Thursday July 16, 2009

Social networking and music streaming site Kerchoonz.com has signed an agreement with the Beggars Group, allowing its users access to around 20,000 tracks from the Beggars’ catalogue.

The catalogue will be available on demand and for free through Kerchoonz’s ad-funded model.

Kerchoonz allows users to stream music playlists and interact with artists through its social networking portal.

“We’re committed to making our catalogue available through as wide a range of services as possible”, says Beggars director of digital Simon Wheeler. “Kerchoonz was constructed with artists’ rights in mind and it is exactly the kind of company which the industry should support”.

“This deal will allow us to provide an even broader selection of great independent music for all music lovers,” adds Kerchoonz co-founder Indiana Gregg.

“We are honoured to be working with The Beggars Group and look forward to doing our part to help grow their digital business.”
