Finally figured out how to get Motorola Phone Tools to work with Vista. Download the latest drivers here.
Download the file. Unplug the phone, run the installation unzip the file, then right click on it, and select Install, then restart Mobile Phone Tools. Vista will nag you about 10 times for each unsigned driver it is installing, but just be patient. You will eventually get through the install routine. Then plug your phone in and it will be discovered and the correct drivers will be installed.
